Just a few weeks after their separation was announced, Ryan Reynolds has begun the process of officially ending his two-year marriage to Scarlett Johansson.

The actor, 34, filed for divorce from Johansson, 26, Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court, documents show. Johansson filed her divorce response simultaneously.

Both sides cite Dec. 14 as their date of separation. Neither is seeking spousal support.

A source told PEOPLE recently that the couple grew apart under the strain of managing two thriving careers, adding that the two are splitting on good terms.

They were married in a private ceremony in Canada in 2008.

Constantine Maroulis has someone new to idolize him – his brand-new baby girl.

The American Idol alum, 35, and Angel Reed welcomed their first child, Malena James, on Thursday at 11:06 p.m. She weighed 6 lbs., 11 oz., and measured 19 inches long.

"Sometimes Christmas comes early and we're so lucky to get the greatest gift a few days early," Maroulis tells PEOPLE. "Angel and I are thrilled to welcome our perfect baby girl into the world today. Mom and baby are healthy and I couldn't be more excited to ring in 2011 this way."

The new parents met last year while they were starring in the Broadway musical Rock of Ages.

Maroulis shared with PEOPLE his excitement over impending fatherhood last July.

"It's a beautiful thing," he said at the time. In preparation for being a dad, he said he was, "just living every day right now, trying to do good work and provide for family long term – so I'm looking forward to the road ahead, definitely."

Maroulis is currently reprising his Tony-nominated role as rocker Drew in the Rock of Ages national tour.

After Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Camille Grammer's cocktail party turned into dinner and a (horror) show, there was only one way to settle the drama: another party.

On Thursday night's episode of the Bravo series, fellow Housewife Taylor Armstrong played hostess, throwing a lavish flapper-themed bash. Despite uncertainty over whether Grammer would once again collide with Kyle Richards – or if the two ladies would show at all – no one was roaring at each other at the Roaring Twenties affair.

"From this night on, I want to put it all behind us," Grammer says in the episode.

And while not all the castmates were buying into their kiss-and-make-up routine, Grammer says she's done with the dramatics – a change of pace from her earlier statement that she had "no interest in making amends with Kyle," whom she described as "awful and vile."

"I always take the high road – I try," she says. "That's my motto here."

And when Richards approached Grammer at the party, there was no mention of the text message Grammer sent her before the run-in. In the message, Richards said Grammer put the breaks on their friendship and her business relationship with Kyle's husband, Mauricio Umansky, a high-end realtor.

Although Richards said she would "never be able to trust [Grammer] again" prior to the party, she later offered up an analogy to explain their rocky relationship.

"If we were being set up, we would never go on a date again," Richards says. "But since we're not on a date, we can give it another shot."

Lindsay Lohan

Looks like somebody had a change of heart.

Dawn Holland – the former Betty Ford Center staffer Lindsay Lohan allegedly assaulted – is dropping her criminal complaint against the starlet, reports TMZ.com.

Lohan, 24, was under police investigation for battery against the former rehab worker, who was fired by the clinic for violating confidentiality guidelines. But Holland's lawyer, Keith Davidson, says no further action will be taken because "a crime has quite simply not been committed by Ms. Lohan."

"Dawn will not continue to press charges against Lindsay, nor will she be assisting any further in the investigation or prosecution," Davidson says.

Davidson says Holland – who alleged that Lohan was "out of control" earlier this week, causing a sprain in her right arm and hand – sympathizes with Lohan. The two share a similar struggle: They're both recovering addicts.

Davidson adds that Holland does not want "in any way shape or form to do anything that would violate Lindsay's probation or cause an arrest."

Alex Welch Is Happy About Settlement with Demi Lovato

Demi Lovato and dancer Alex Welch have made peace for the holidays: The Disney Channel star has reached a settlement with Welch, the dancer she struck.

"I'm happy. We came to an agreement and I'm ready to move on," Alex "Shorty" Welch, a member of the all-female dance crew, Beat Freaks, tells PEOPLE. "I'm ready to start working again."

Lovato, 18, has been in treatment for emotional and physical issues since the altercation took place in October during the South American leg of the Jonas Brothers's world tour.

According to Welch, the punch came after Lovato was confronted by tour managers about her conduct the previous night. The incident left Welch with a black eye and a bruised left cheekbone, and the dancer considered legal action prior to the resolution.

Lovato's reps had no comment on the settlement.

Welch, 21, would not disclose the terms of the settlement but said that the agreement called for a portion of the settlement to be donated to charity. "That's important," she says.

With days before Christmas, Katie Holmes dropped into a favorite French-based children's clothing boutique in Beverly Hills recently to pick out gifts for six children – including 4-year-old daughter Suri.

"Her tastes were very classic," another customer, who was inside the Bonpoint shop on Brighton Way at the same time, tells PEOPLE. "Very practical."

Among the purchases: sweaters in caramel and grey for a 10-year-old girl and a jacket and slacks outfit for a very young boy.

Other selections were a bit more "fanciful," the source says, including "a princess dress for a girl [of] about 8 or so."

Holmes also picked out a short gold dress and ruby red shoes, described as "very red carpet," as well as some beach-ready shoulder-strapped sundresses.

Like husband Tom Cruise, Holmes is spotted regularly at the upscale shop, which scents and color-codes its packages: pink for girls, khaki for boys. Other celebrity clients of the brand include Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Julia Roberts, Salma Hayek and Jessica Alba.

'Nobody puts granny in the corner,' quipped James.
Pamela thanked the professional for his incredible patience after Brucie and Tess told the pair they were going home.

'He's quite flirtatious with me. I'm fascinated by dancer relationships. They're used to dancing very close with people they're not in a relationship with.
'It has fluffed me up a bit.'
Pamela's husband, comedian Billy Connolly, has been supporting his wife during the competition and their marriage has been given a bit of a boost since she started training.
'Billy can be possessive,' she tells Weekend.
'He's said a couple of things to me about James, like: "You're dancing very close to somebody else who's half your age."

Katie Price has now lodged an official complaint with media watchdog Ofcom regarding Frankie Boyle's joke about disabled son Harvey on his TV show.
Katie's lawyer has filed papers alleging Channel 4 and the comedian breached the 'harm and offence' clause of the Broadcasting Code.
Frankie, 38, made comments about the 8-year-old on Channel 4's Tramadol Nights.
'Jordan and Peter Andre are still fighting each other over custody of Harvey,' he quipped. 'Eventually one of them will lose and have to keep him.'
Frankie later added: 'I have a theory about the reason Jordan married a cage-fighter [Alex Reid]. She needed a man strong enough to stop Harvey from f***ing her.'
Katie, 32, is appalled.
'Harvey Price is a little miracle,' she says.
'Every day he overcomes so many difficulties and has so many battles to win due to his medical problems. I love him and am deeply proud to be his mother.
'If Mr Boyle had a 10th of his courage and decency, he would know that to suggest, let alone think funny, that Harvey may sexually attack me is vile and deeply unfair.'
Katie's lawyer Mark Bateman says they have no option but to formally complain to Ofcom after giving Channel 4 until 5pm yesterday to apologise.
'Channel 4 have got this horribly wrong if they think their actions are defensible because Boyle is high profile or because he has made this joke before,' he tells the Daily Star.
'To ridicule disability is bad enough but to single out a young child as courageous and vulnerable as Harvey is cowardly.
A Channel 4 spokesman says: 'Frankie Boyle is well known for this controversial type of humour and the programme carried appropriate warnings as to the nature of the material.
'The joke aired in the context of a late-night comedy show.'

A worried Justin Timberlake has reached out to Britney Spears after the US press exploded last week with reports that she'd been physically abused by her boyfriend Jason Trawick.
While Britney's reps categorically deny the allegations, saying: ‘Jason's never laid a hand on Britney,' the story comes from her first husband Jason Alexander, who's provided audiotapes of alleged conversations with Britney to back up his claims.
Amid a worldwide tabloid frenzy, a distraught Justin Timberlake is said to have called his childhood sweetheart, demanding: ‘What the hell's going on?'
A close friend of the singer-turned-actor tells Now: ‘Justin considers Britney a member of his family and he's very worried about her, especially when something like this hits the news.'
The stories centre on claims by Jason Alexander that Brit told him her boyfriend Jason Trawick was beating her up.
Jason A has produced audio recordings of conversations he'd had with ‘Britney', but her spokesman denies it's her.
Jason, however, passed a lie detector test insisting it is.
On the tape, Jason asks why she didn't go to the police and a woman he says is Britney replies: ‘Because I didn't want the public knowing about it and I didn't want to file anything so everyone could find out. So I've just left him and changed my number.'
However, a message on Britney's website says: ‘The statements attributed to Jason Alexander are a complete fabrication as Britney hasn't had any communication with him in years.'

The plan is to end their sham relationship early in the New Year, following a series of staged public rows and other moneymaking stunts.
We can practically smell the desperation all the way across the Atlantic.
‘Spencer's so shameless but you have to give him credit for trying to cash in at every opportunity,' an insider tells Now.
‘He'll cook up these schemes as long as he and Heidi continue to be paid.
'They're telling anyone who'll listen how seriously they're taking their marriage.'
This isn't the first time the couple have sold their souls for a few dollars.
In October, they were spotted ‘accidentally on purpose' burning their divorce papers - and let's not forget Heidi's regular trips to her plastic surgeon.
‘Their every move is calculated to earn money,' says our mole.
‘But what they don't realise is people are sick of it.'

‘That bugged her a bit because she's had to do all the driving and she was getting sick and tired of it.
‘They spend a lot of time in LA, where everyone drives, and Katy finds it kind of bizarre that at his age he still doesn't have a licence. After all, she learnt to drive when she was 15.'
Russell's being a good boy and has signed up for a driving course, but it might be a long haul.
‘Russell's already failed his test a couple of times in the US - he's not exactly the greatest driver,' reveals our source.

The 22-year-old star, who rose to fame when Justin Timberlake spotted her cover videos on YouTube, thinks it's only right that the confident teenager has done well in the competition.

'I caught some of Cher Lloyd's performances which I thought were really cool,' says Esmée.

'I think the X Factor is great, they really put on a show.'

Esmée, who had a hit single with Until You Were Gone with Brit rapper Chipmunk, believes The X Factor is a great platform for artists like Cher.

'They're being given these covers and they have to show who they are as an artist, but they have to make it original,' she says.
'If that's how you can build an audience and have fun and show your talent, then why not?'

'I do expect to be going,' she admitted last week at an X Factor conference.

'I know who I am and the people who know me know who I am as well.

In one of the photos, the couple - who'll get married on 29 April 2011 - are seen cuddling up to one another lovingly.
The second picture, below, shows Wills andhis fiancée in a more formal mood at Clarence House.
William, 28, personally chose famed photographer Mario Testino to take charge of the shoot.
'He has worked with Mario on many occasions before, and so the couple decided that he was the right choice for such
an important portrait,' says a Clarence House spokeswoman.
Mario enjoyed working with William and Kate, both 28.
'I am very happy to have been asked to cover this historic moment that the whole world was waiting for,' he says in a statement.
'They are in their prime and brimming with happiness. I have never felt so much joy as when I see them together.'

Matt Cardle has apologised to mentor Dannii Minogue after he accidentally wacked her on The X Factor last night.

The Aussie judge got a fist in her face when all the axed contestants rushed towards the painter/decorator to congratulate him on his victory.

At the time, Matt didn't realise he'd 'punched' Dannii.

'I felt so bad watching it back - that's really terrible,' he said on This Morning today.

'I have just Tweeted her an apology about that. That was full on, wasn't it?'

Matt hopes to make it up to Dannii, 39.

'She's been an amazing mentor, I can't thank her enough,' he added. 'She's going to get a great Christmas present from me when I get a chance to shop.'

Matt beat Rebecca Ferguson, 24, and One Direction to the title of The X Factor 2010 champion.

His debut single When We Collide is expected to become Christmas No 1.

We can't wait to see Kate Middleton's wedding dress on 29 April, but she's bound to look sensational.

Prince William's bride has been a stunner since she was a teenager.

At 16, after passing her GCSEs, the shy schoolgirl returned to Malborough public school with mature confidence.

'She always had a lovely, willowy figure,' recalls pal Gemma Williamson, 'but now she had filled out and the colour was back in her cheeks.

'Although she was sports, she was very feminine, too.

'She never wore particularly fashionable or revealing clothes - just jeans and jumpers - but she had an innate sense of style.'

It was when Kate went up to the University Of St Andrews that she met Prince William and they hit it off right away.

A break-up in 2007 simply strengthened their relationship.

'It made me a stronger person,' recalls Kate, 28.

'You find out things about yourself that maybe you hadn't realised.

'I think you can get quite consumed by a relationship when you are younger and I really valued that time for me.'

'I won't say I'll never have surgery, because you never know how you're going to feel in years to come,' she says.

'But I'd never do anything too dramatic - you see such terrible sights where it's gone horribly wrong.'
