Just When You Thought You Couldn't Love Beyonce Anymore....

The National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation (NABEF) is getting ready to bust some moves.  The foundation is partnering with Beyonce for the "Let's Move! Flash Workout" initiative to show support for Michelle Obama's "Let's Move" campaign to curb childhood obesity. The event calls for middle school students around the U.S. to perform a pre-choreographed "Let's Move" dance exercise at 1:42 p.m. on May 3.  The event is being produced in partnership with the National Middle School Association, the National School Boards Association and the American Association of School Administrators. Beyonce has re-written and re-recorded one of her songs and is providing and instructional video demonstrating the "Let's Move! Flash Workout" routine. "NABEF is proud to assist the First Lady's 'Let's Move!' campaign and supports efforts to address the epidemic of childhood obesity," said NABEF President Marcellus Alexander.  "We can think of no greater gift to America than keeping our schoolchildren healthy." On Wednesday, the First Lady spoke on a conference call with Secretary of Education Arne Duncan and Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack to discuss advancing the "Let's Move!" program goal of doubling the number of U.S. schools participating in the Department of Agriculture's HealthierUS School Challenge Program.

And people wonder why I "stan" for this woman! It's not because of the lacefronts, Dancers....TRUST!

Mike Huckabee Back Peddles On Natalie Portman Comments!

I knew this was gonna happen, but "we don't believe you...you need more people":

“Natalie is an extraordinary actor, very deserving of her recent Oscar and I am glad she will marry her baby’s father [Benjamin Millepied]. However, contrary to what the Hollywood media reported, I did not ’slam’ or ‘attack’ Natalie Portman, nor did I criticize the hardworking single mothers in our country.”

“My comments were about the statistical reality that most single moms are very poor, under-educated, can’t get a job, and if it weren’t for government assistance, their kids would be starving to death. That’s the story that we’re not seeing, and it’s unfortunate that society often glorifies and glamorizes the idea of having children out of wedlock.”

So actually you're sticking by what you've said but tried to soften the tone because of all the back lash you've gotten? Typical of a Republican!

And word to the wise, Huckabee...not only single moms rely on the government for help. There are MILLIONS of Americans who have lost their jobs due to the economy that rely on public assistance! HOW IGNORANT!

Mike Huckabee On Natalie Portman: Glorifying Out-Of- Wedlock Children

This is one of many reasons why I rarely vote republican.....REAL TALK!

She won over the Academy, but Natalie Portman doesn't have a fan in presidential prospect Mike Huckabee. The former Arkansas governor and Fox News Channel host attacked the best actress winner, 29, who's currently expecting her first child with fiance Benjamin Millepied. "People see a Natalie Portman who boasts, 'We're not married but we're having these children and they're doing just fine," Huckabee told radio host Michael Medved on his show Monday. "I think it gives a distorted image. It's unfortunate that we glorify and glamorize the idea of out-of- wedlock children." Calling Portman's pregnancy "troubling," Huckabee went on to say that many single parents don't have the resources to hire help, the way someone like the Black Swan star would. "Most single moms are very poor, uneducated, can't get a job, and if it weren't for government assistance, their kids would be starving to death and never have health care," he said. "And that's the story that we're not seeing." In her acceptance speech Sunday night, Portman thanked Millepied, saying he gave her "the most important role" in her life. Medved quipped back that Millepied "didn't give her the most wonderful gift, which would be a wedding ring!"

*sigh*

The world would be a much better place if folks would just mind their business! If he or a person like Sarah Palin ever won the Presidency  of the US, God help us!
