Catherine Zeta Jones Entered Into A Mental Facility!

WOW! In very surprising new, it is being reported that Oscar winner Catherine Zeta-Jones (wife to Michael Douglas) entered into a mental health facility for 5 days to treat a Bipolar II disorder.

Zeta-Jones, as of late, has stuck by her husband Michael Douglas' side as he battled cancer a few months back, and now she is the one who will need the support of her family and loved ones:

Her rep says in a statement:
"After dealing with the stress of the past year, Catherine made the decision to check in to a mental health facility for a brief stay to treat her Bipolar II disorder. She's feeling great and looking forward to starting work this week on her two upcoming films."
Oh. Okay...

For those that aren't aware, Bipolar disorder is a mental illness marked by elevated or irritable moods alternating with periods of depression, afflicts about 6 million Americans. Those with Bipolar II tend to have more depression, with the mood swings spread over a longer time and the "up" periods less elevated. The episodes can be triggered by major stress or life changes.

Sad. Hopefully she recovers quite well from this.

UPDATED: Matthew Knowles NO LONGER Beyonce's Manager!

In VERY shocking news, it is being reported that Matthew Knowles, father to superstar Beyonce Knowles, is no longer managing her career!

In a statement released by her publicist Yvette Noel-Schure, it is revealed that the two have parted ways "on a business level."

WOW!

Beyonce says in the statement that she is grateful for the role her father has had in her career. She adds that "he is my father for life and I love my dad dearly."

Awwwww.

Matthew Knowles has managed Beyonce's career since she was a teenager up until now. I wonder who will take over her career now, considering that he helped build it? Hmmmmmm.

UPDATED
On the heels that he will no longer manage his daughter Beyonce's career, Matthew Knowles has issued the following statement while reiterating that their decision was mutual and that he was proud of his daughter. Read it under the break......

The decision for Beyoncé and Music World Entertainment to part was mutual. We did great things together, and I know that she will continue to conquer new territories in music and entertainment. Currently, I am very focused on the tremendous investment that our record label has made in the gospel/inspirational genre of music and on our supremely talented roster of artists, including Trin-i-tee 5:7, Brian Courtney Wilson, Juanita Bynum, Micah Stampley, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Pastor Rudy and others.
Music World will continue its partnership with Sony with Destiny’s Child and UK female group From Above, as well as management. We will also continue to develop the Music World family of labels: Music World Country/Compadre, Music World Kids and Music World Music. In Music World’s repositioning it will not continue its label/management role with Columbia/Sony artist Tiffany Evans.
Business is business and family is family. I love my daughter and am very proud of who she is and all that she has achieved. I look forward to her continued great success.
There you have it!

Lindsay Lohan Planning To Change Her Name!

Ummmmmm, okay. I guess....

Via PopEater:
Diddy did it. So did Madonna and Prince, and now you can add Lindsay Lohan to the list of celebrities who are opting for a single moniker, with the troubled star's mom, Dina, confirming to me that Lindsay plans to remove "Lohan" from her official name. "Lindsay is dropping the Lohan and just going by Lindsay," Dina tells me, exclusively. "Plus, me and [younger daughter] Ali will be officially changing our last names back to my maiden name, Sullivan." Lindsay had been thinking about dropping her surname for some time but at first thought no one would know who she was. It was only after the infamous Super Bowl E-trade advertisement referring to a baby as "that milkaholic Lindsay," that the actress knew she no longer needed it. "So many of the greatest people in showbiz are known by just their first name. Look at Oprah and Beyonce. Now you can add Lindsay to that list," a family friend tells me. "And it's a way for them all to start over. No one in the family want anything to do with Lindsay's father [Michael Lohan] anymore and that includes sharing a last name." The name "Lohan" is Irish, and Lindsay can trace her roots back to County Cork, as can the "Sullivan" family, according to Irish Central. She also has some Italian heritage as well. Whether Michael Lohan is saddened about this news is not known -- I'm waiting to hear his response. I hope this will be the fresh beginning that the "family formally know as Lohan" so desperately needs!
Ya know, I can't say I blame the girl for wanting to distance herself from her father. He hasn't been much of a "father" in her life anyway. Had he been a constant, maybe she wouldn't have all of the problems that she is currently having.

It's never too late to start over...

Chris Brown's Publicist Quits

This joker is having a bitter sweet week, to say the least.....

Via TMZ:
For absolutely no reason at all...Chris Brown and his publicist have gone their separate ways.
Oh TRUST that there was a reason! I can name a few....
No one knows what could have caused this, but a source close to both sides tells TMZ the two decided to "part ways."
Losing? Winning? You decide.....

Madonna Has To AXE Plans On Her Malawi School!

This just goes to show you that because a person has celebrity status doesn't mean they can fulfill all of their goals.

This proved true with Madonna and her plans to open a school in Malawi under her Raising Malawi foundation. It is being reported that the foundation isn’t doing well and therefore will not move forward with building the Raising Malawi Academy for Girls.

Sad.

Co-founder Michael Berg told press, "A thoughtful decision has been made to discontinue plans for the Raising Malawi Academy for Girls, as it was originally conceived." Madonna added, "There's a real education crisis in Malawi. Sixty-seven percent of girls don't go to secondary school, and this is simply unacceptable. Our team is going to work hard to address this in every way we can. While I'm proud of [other] accomplishments, I'm frustrated that our education work has not moved forward in a faster way."

Same here! Hopefully some big-shot will come along to try and help fund the project. Come on Madonna! Call on some of those wealthy friends of yours....we know you have plenty!

"Boardwalk Empire" Star Arrested

How did I know this so-called "star" was Paz de la Huerta??? Let's face it...home-girl is a TRAIN-WRECK!!!
Paz de la Huerta may have a hard time living with her first name - which means "peace" in Spanish - after her run-in with model and former reality star Samantha Swetra early Sunday morning. Eyewitnesses tell us de la Huerta put the de la hurt-a on Swetra at the Top of the Standard nightclub after the model - who was a cast member of MTV's "The City" - made a joke about the "Boardwalk Empire" actress' sobriety. One insider says de la Huerta, who plays Nucky Thompson's hot-tempered girlfriend Lucy Danzinger in the HBO eries, approached Swetra's table "after 3 a.m." where she was with a group of friends that included Lindsay Lohan (who was staying at the hotel that night). Swetra and de la Huerta had not met before Sunday, a second source tells us, but that didn't stop the NYC-born actress from flirting with one of Swetra's male pals. That's when, our first source adds, de la Huerta suddenly lost her footing and went crashing into an adjacent table. After taking in the unexpected pratfall - which, our source adds, resulted in one of de la Huerta's breasts "hanging out of her dress"- an amused Swetra yelled out "triple axel!" The gibe sent de la Huerta into a rage and she threw a drink glass at Swetra's leg and took a swing at the model's face, the source says. De la Huerta's aim is apparently as good as her acting on "Boardwalk Empire." According to our source, the actress' fist connected squarely with Swetra's lips and nose. The glass, which shattered, also did some damage. "Blood was dripping down [Swetra's] leg," the source tells us. "Lindsay was pulling shards of glass off of it." The source tells us de la Huerta was escorted out of the Meatpacking District club "by the arm" following the incident. Swetra and Lohan, both looking "horrified," soon followed, presumably to return to LiLo's room in a separate part of the hotel. Things have been looking darker for Swetra since her encounter with Paz de la Horror - literally. Sources who saw the 26-year-old former Bergdorf Goodman buyer at an event at Kenneth Cole Productions on W. 50th St. say Swetra has facial bruises and a swollen lip. They add that she expressed concern about how her injuries might have affected a Singer22 photo shoot she was in yesterday. When we reached Swetra, she declined comment except to say: "I am pressing charges."
Paz, get your life and emotions TOGETHER, doll!

PS - Ummmmm, why was Lindsay Lohan in the mix??? Oh...

Former 'Cheetah Girl' Adrienne Bailon: "I Want To Be The Next Oprah"

Chiiiiiiiile!

“We’re in talks about a possible talk show,” reveals the 27-year-old, who co-hosted “Maury’s Most Talented Kids” last year with Maury Povich. “[Producers] approached me actually. That’s where the whole Maury thing came up. People are like, ‘Why is she doing stuff with Maury Povich?’ But this is why. I wanna be like Oprah.”

The Latina bombshell’s inquisitive nature led to her interest in the field. “Talk shows were the original reality TV,” she says. “And I’d love to have real talk with real people. I am a very nosy person. I’m very curious about people’s lives, so I think that will make it interesting.”

Adrienne is currently recording her solo debut for Island Def Jam and will appear on an upcoming episode of E!’s “Kourtney & Kim Take New York.”
Oh that's cute! *sarcasm*

Lookahere....everybody has dreams and aspirations. I ain't knocking ANYONE's goals, but PLEASE keep it realistic (and cute...)!

Wyclef Jean Shot In Haiti

Via People:
As Haitians head to the polls to vote for their next president, former candidate Wyclef Jean is recovering Sunday from being shot in the hand. "He is doing well," his publicist, Cindy Tanenbaum, tells CNN. The Haiti-born hip-hop artist, 41, was shot in Port-au-Prince on Saturday, the night before the country's presidential runoff election. Jean previously had his eyes on the executive office in Haiti, but officials in Haiti barred his presidential candidacy in August because he lives primarily in New Jersey. The results of the runoff election, which is between former first lady Mirlande Manigat and singer Michel Martelly, will be released April 16.

Tyra Banks Attending Harvard Business School!

Who said you should stop improving yourself?!
Tyra Banks is going back to school, and not just any school: The super-model-turned-mogul has been attending Harvard Business School since last year. But why did Banks, who runs a successful multi-million-dollar empire, feel the need to further her education? "In order for my company to grow and be the best, and to reach these women, and to serve them, I needed the best. So I went to the best," Banks, 37, says. Going back to school has been a long time coming for Banks, who started modeling at age 17, just months before she was supposed to start at L.A.'s Loyola Marymount University. "The day that I put college on hold because I got discovered to go to Paris and try this whole modeling thing ... was one of the most difficult decisions of my entire life," she said. But Banks turned that opportunity into dreamlike success: In 2009, Forbes listed her as the highest paid woman in prime time, with an annual income of $30 million. Now, Banks can clearly afford the steep tuition at Harvard's elite Owner/President Management Program, which requires students participate in intensive three-week sessions costing $31,000 a year for three years. Tyra host admits that people are often shocked to hear she's attending such a prestigious university – but Banks likes it that way. "When people have low expectations, you're just constantly going, 'Ta-da!' And they're like, 'Wow,' " she said. "It doesn't take a lot to wow them when they have low expectations."
GREAT example for women!!! Unlike some of these reality stars. TAKE NOTICE, ladies!

Snoop From HBOs "The Wire" Arrested In Large Scale Drug Operation Bust

 Via The Washington Post:

More than 30 people, including the actress known as "Snoop" from the Baltimore-based HBO series "The Wire," were arrested Thursday morning across the city and its surrounding counties in connection with a large-scale heroin and marijuana operation. Raids were carried out in the pre-dawn hours by agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration, Baltimore police and a slew of other federal and state law enforcement agencies. Felicia "Snoop" Pearson, known for her drug-assassin character on "The Wire," was taken into custody at a downtown apartment on a state warrant, officials said. The actress has a troubled past, having been convicted at age 14 of second-degree murder. More recently, she refused to testify as a witness at a murder trial and was arrested at her then-Northeast Baltimore home. The arrests are part of a five-month drug investigation, officials said.
This comment might be a tad bit too early considering, but what did we expect from this girl??? First and foremost, I haven't seen her on anybody's TV or movie screen....how else was she "eating"? And let's face it, her life was a gigantic "Cluster-Phuck" from the beginning. Most people will always retreat back to what they know.

Star Jones Breaks It Down...Are People That Thirsty For Fame???

Dancers, if you do nothing else for today....PLEASE get into this piece that Star Jones wrote for Uptown Magazine! A GREAT read of epic proportions:
I was recently having a conversation with a friend and the topic of shame came up. Over a glass of Sancerre, I was lamenting how shocked I was that one particular reality “star” had done some ridiculously over-the-top ghetto (not the place, rather the attitude) thing on television. I can’t remember whether it was pulling hair, vomiting in the street, cursing at her children, spitting on her “best friend,” hitting, pushing, or some other ignorant action, but trust me, it was so inappropriate and it was all in the news. The legitimate news! I’m talking right up there with the Tucson shooting, State of the Union address, and the Super Bowl. I said to my friend, “She must be so ashamed for the whole world to see her act like that; how embarrassing!

My friend actually laughed at me and said, “Girl, she’s not ashamed or embarrassed. As long as she’s famous, she’s happy.”

When did the quest for fame overtake the drive for excellence? When did starring in a sex tape rather than a breakout performance in an independent film become your entrée into stardom? When did becoming the third, fourth, or fifth baby mama of an athlete or a musician make you a “housewife”? When did posing with your behind up and your boobs out standing in front of a stripper pole make you a model?

When shame moved out.
More under the break...

Do people even know what shame is anymore? They certainly don’t act like it. Shame used to be the feeling you’d get just after you did something you know you shouldn’t have done. It was the cramp in your stomach when the “mother” of the church looked back at you during Sunday service and threw you the eye because you were talking, wiggling, or chewing gum when you should have been paying attention. Shame was the quiver in your voice that made you stammer when you had to tell your parents that you crashed the car, got a D in geometry, were busted for smoking weed, found out you were pregnant—or when you were down at the police station making your one phone call.

Shame is what you should feel when your sex tape or naked cell phone pictures get leaked onto the Internet by that fool you never should have trusted in the first place. Shame is what you should feel when you plow your car into a tree and get arrested for the second time for driving under the influence. Shame is what you should feel when you get photographed smoking a bong with your team jersey in the background. Shame is what you should feel when you get caught sleeping with somebody else’s husband or wife. Shame should be what you feel when you finally acknowledge that your only true talent lies in being the loudest, least-educated, best-dressed buffoon on the screen.

You want to know what happened to shame? We made it impossible for shame to live with us anymore. Reality shows moved in with their newly minted “stars” and shame moved out. Society started rewarding those who engage in egregious behavior with magazine covers and clothing lines; the media began anointing chicks 20 minutes off the pole as “socialites”; and parents, grandparents, and aunties stopped giving the side eye to folks who act a fool. Shame must have said, “To hell with it,” and packed its bags.

Shame doesn’t live in America anymore. Some people think that’s a good thing—you know, all that “keeping it real” mess. I don’t happen to be one of them. Some say it’s prudish to expect decorum, dignity, and respect in public settings. Those who say that aren’t my friends. I admit it. I’m old-fashioned, and I’m mortified by what now generates fame. These days, my pearls are in a constant state of clutch.

That’s why I love awards season. It always reminds me of what entertainment excellence is and should be. This is when the true stars come out to shine. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Screen Actors Guild, and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association roll out the red carpet for the actors and actresses who have studied and honed their craft to pure genius. These auspicious organizations congratulate the artists who have harnessed their talent to embody historical and important characters who have literally changed the world or a neighborhood, caused a movement, shifted the balance of power, or inspired others to greatness or even madness.

For the short window of time known as awards season, the public gets to gaze upon and laud professionals who have the ability to engage audiences to the point that we become emotionally spent (Frankie & Alice), giddy and lightheaded with hope (The Kids Are All Right), and awestruck with intensity and angst (The Social Network). Skill and talent. Gifts that few possess but more claim. Men and women known for their abilities, not their antics—that’s my definition of a star.
*cough cough The Kardashians, ALL of the Housewives - particularly NeNe Leakes, and the Basketball Wives crew*

Folks can say what they want about her, but Lady Jones was preaching on this here good day! And it's NOT even Sunday....

I couldn't agree more with ALL that she has said! The thirst for fame is at an all time high, so much so that folks are willing and able to compromise their true selves for a half hour on TV. I guess we no longer live in a time where true talent reigns supreme? WELP....

Charlie Sheen Officially Fired From "Two And A Half Men"!

WELP! Can't say we're surprised here....
Charlie Sheen just got his pink slip.

"After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen's services on Two and a Half Men effective immediately," the show's producers say in a statement.

His firing places the future of the hit CBS sitcom in doubt. The network declined to comment, but one source close to the show says, "no decision has been made" about whether to continue with a new star or to cancel it all together.

Two and a Half Me, which costars Jon Cryer, went on hiatus after Sheen, 45, started lambasting his boss, series co-creator Chuck Lorre, in a series of bizarre interviews.

The actor also faces a restraining order obtained by his estranged wife and had his twin boys taken away by police and placed in the custody of their mother, Brooke Bueller.
Uhhhh, I guess he's no longer "WINNING", eh? I apologize for using that word! Forgive me...

Here is Charlie's response after being fired:
"This is very good news. They continue to be in breach, like so many whales. It is a big day of gladness at the Sober Valley Lodge because now I can take all of the bazillions, never have to look at whatshiscock again and I never have to put on those silly shirts for as long as this warlock exists in the terrestrial dimension."
Warlock? Terrestrial dimension? I'm confused...

Former Talk Show Host Rolanda Watts ARRESTED!

Oh Rolanda, if you wanted us to start talking about you again then your azz should've released a COT DAMN sex tape! I mean....COME ON! All the cool kids are doing it!

Former talk show host Rolanda Watts (I didn't even know she was still around) was arrested in Hollywood early Saturday morning on suspicion of DUI.

She is currently being held on $15,000 bail. Watts was released and is due back in court March 30.

But in even more surprising news, did you all know that she worked at WNBC in New York for several years, was a correspondent for "Inside Edition", and currently hosts an Internet talk show, called “A BraveHearTView.”

Well damn! Good for her. If someone would've asked me about her, I would've guessed WalMart. Ahhhh, HELL....yall were thinking it!
